A positive and successful expat experience is not just down to practical arrangements, open mindedness, cross cultural competences/agility/knowledge, etc.

✅ It is first about mindset!

Indeed all of the above will come from the power of mindset.

👉 Why? Because mindset guides the whole learning-interpretation process and living/working among different cultures is about learning…..to understand.

A lot of kids are taught at school (hopefully) the difference between a fixed mindset (fixed abilities) and the power of a growth mindset (learning, potential).

This is the same when it comes to expatriation: will individuals have the ability to learn and change or will they stay in one fixed framework, mode of interpretation.

🌎❗️If I would have one take away after a lot of moves abroad and their challenging changes that would be how important is the ability to learn ❗️🌎
