✅ Offering trainings sessions too early when someone has never been abroad yet
✅ Offering general leadership trainings
✅ Offering cross cultural trainings
✅ Offering trainings to develop a long list of ideal skills, abilities and/or other behaviors not always applicable

💡Why?

👉Because learning is a transformative process that takes time, reflection. Global leaders are going to be able to be responsive to the unknown, the unexpected and the complex! Fixed skills and behaviors can not prepare them for that!

👉The most efficient way to prepare, train someone for a leadership role abroad is to send him/her on assignment but with the appropriate adapted supportive training programme to see learning, changes occur and capitalize them!
